Dundee Carers Association

Chrysalis will be involved in the pamper day for Dundee Carers on 16th June 2010.  Offering free taster sessions to carers at the Invercarse Hotel to help you relax and de-stress.

The people at Chrysalis are currently planning a range of workshops and classes.  These include:

*   a Shiatsu workshop,
*   an Indian Head Massage workshop,
*   a Reiki I course (certificated),
*   a Tai Chi class, and
*   a Writers' Group.

Two of the therapists at Chrysalis have begun a Qigong training course which they plan to teach once the course is finished.  Similar to tai chi, qigong consists of exercises that are particularly beneficial for health.  The course is held at Samye Ling Buddhist Monastery in Eskdalemuir and consists of six weekends spread over a two year period.

The first weekend was at the beginning of March and Muriel (Shiatsu, EFT & Reiki) and Eileen (Massage, Reflexology & Reiki) attended with friends and spent the weekend learning about anatomy, physiology, acupoints, alighnment and energy and how it flows.  We also learned some exercise systems to get us off to a flying start.
